Thermal Management

Next to lighting, HVAC & Thermal Management is typically the largest energy expense in a building.  Improvements in system performance can significantly lower the total energy bill – by up to 40 percent. By finding and repairing holes in your facility's thermal envelope and then actively managing the conditioning of that facility your organization will enjoy the following benefits:
  • Slash energy expenses
  • Reduce HVAC maintenance expense and disruption
  • Increase life span of HVAC systems
  • Retain central control over remote facilities
  • Quick return on investment

Managed Thermostats

Goodwin Energy's thermostat solutions provide all the capabilities of basic thermostats plus advanced features such as dual stage and fan scheduling support with set-point override limits, button lockout capability and in some models, one button override and humidity sensing and control. Facility managers can remotely manage network thermostats over the Internet using a Web browser in conjunction with Goodwin Energy's Thermostat Remote Management & Monitoring.

The Thermostat Remote Management Service automatically monitors your network thermostats and sends you an immediate email or SMS message if a problem is detected. It provides enterprise-wide status and fault monitoring and lets you program and control large groups of thermostats at once to save time and effort, and reduce programming errors.

Thermal Audit

The thermal envelope defines the conditioned space in a building. Reducing airflow from inside to outside can help reduce convective heat transfer significantly. Thermal bridges are points in the building envelope that allow heat conduction to occur. A thermal audit allows facility mangers to pinpoint holes in a building's envelope and seal them.

Thermal audits can be performed once, but are most effective on an annual basis to make sure new thermal bridges have not unintentionally been created.
